Celebrate our wonderful environment with a brand new program of family-friendly entertainment, good food and more at the 2019 World Environment Day Festival.
Taking place on the Sunshine Coast, World Environment Day Festival is inviting all for a huge celebration in Maroochydore Rotary Park, which will both celebrate the environment as well as promote its importance. There will be a welcoming atmosphere and lots to enjoy, such as live music on a big stage, live art, kids’ tree planting and wildlife shows as well as plenty of market stalls offering tasty local food, refreshing drinks and more.
WED Festival 2019 will see live performances Z-Star, Fat Picnic, Dan Horne, Mitch King and more, as well as live art from David Houghton and April Greer. Special guest speakers will talk about the environment and the importance of its sustainability, and kids will be able to leave their mark with tree planting and workshops in the Children’s Forest.
Other fun hands-on activities for the kids will include vegetable painting, eco art and environmental exploration, and there will even be a series of exciting wildlife shows in which they can enjoy the chance to see a number of animals up close.
As the program unfolds, treat yourself to mouthwatering food, and have a browse around the stalls which will be selling a mixture of handmade crafts, souvenirs and more.
World Environment Day Festival 2019 is a fantastic day out for the whole family, which will take over Maroochydore Rotary Park on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, June 2. If you’re looking for cheap Sunshine Coast accommodation near WED 2019, make sure to book with Sunshine Coast Motor Lodge.
