As early as now, Christmas is already in the air. And if you want to experience it earlier and in a more fun way, you can invite your family to head on to Cooroy for two days of wonderful Christmas.
Set to happen on December 4, 2015, Friday at 6pm and December 5, 2015, Saturday at 4pm, Christmas in Cooroy will rock various parts of the town with its extravagant Christmas celebration with free rides, sack races, tug of war, free face painting, fireworks, music, food, and of course, Santa’s Visit that will surely make every kid and kid at heart jumping for joy and excitement.
At exactly 6pm on the 4th of December, the Butter Factory Arts Centre will come alive as the event commences coupled up with the awards ceremony for the Cooroy Central Guardian Photographic Competition. Come 7pm, the Ricon Christmas tree lights will be officially turned on followed by the launch of the Shop Window Trail just outside the Club Cooroy.
Then the next day will be the bigger day as more activities will be coming to each visitor’s way. At 4pm – 7:30pm on the 5th of December, the real fun will finally begin at Apex Park. You can bring your little kids because they’ll surely have the greatest time here.
Sponsored by The Cooroy Rag, free rides will be all over the place such as the Bouncy Castles, Big Slide, and T-Cup roundabout. Petting Zoo, to be sponsored by John Madill Toyota, is set to be in the area, too, to let everyone have an enjoyable moment with the wonderful animals. To join the fun are The Cooroy Fish ‘n Chips Santa Sack Races, free face painting by CJ Taxation Services, Hope Central Choir, and a lot more food, drinks, and sideshows.
There will also be the Noosa to Hinterland Plumbing Group Great Santa Race at 4:30pm, and Bendigo Bank Street Parade at 5pm. As the clock hits 7:30pm, people will be entertained nonstop by the live music which artists will be announced soon.
As a free community event, it surely is satisfying to be part of the 11th year of Christmas in Cooroy. So don’t miss this year’s instalment with your family.
