Majestic Cinemas Nambour, September 7
The Big Bike Film Night will bring the best cycling short films worldwide to the Sunshine Coast. A Taup local was inspired to move from weekend bike enthusiast to starting one of Australasia’s most famous short film festivals in 2014 to share his love of bikes and aid the community.
A lovely young Australian bike packer learns from her adventure- finishing a gorgeous trip to Hell; a visually compelling film set in postcard Tuscany following a 74-year old bicicletta rider whose spirit personifies cycling; and more are among this year’s treasure chest of bike flicks.
Strawbfest
Chevallum State School, September 8
Strawbfest is a popular and well-known festival on the Sunshine Coast. The festival will celebrate its 37th anniversary in 2023.
Chevallum State School P and C are happy to join with many local companies and farms to commemorate our area’s history as a strawberry farming region and provide you with a variety of strawberry goods, as well as a variety of entertainment and excellent food.
Strawbfest has family-friendly rides, a licenced strawberry daiquiri bar, live music on three stages, a fun-filled sideshow alley, delectable food, a MEGA Raffle, farm-fresh strawberries, and delicious strawberry desserts. Keep an eye out for the spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Twelfth Night
Nambour Lind Lane Theatre, September 15 – 23
